Belarusian culture center opens in Chisinau

The center is located at Keramin Grand Ceramica, a center for the sale of ceramic tiles, sanitary ware and accessories which opened in September 2014. The opening ceremony was attended by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko. The culture center showcases items and materials donated by the Belarusian Culture Ministry and the Information Ministry. An idea has been proposed to erect a monument to Belarus' first book printer Francysk Skaryna at one of the entrances to Keramin Grand Ceramica to mark the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book printing to be celebrated in 2017.
