Kochanova, Matviyenko believe Slavic Bazaar in Heart of Eurasia festival demonstrates strength of Belarus, Russia
The Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, Natalya Kochanova, and the Chairperson of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, shared their emotions after the final concert of the Slavic Bazaar in Heart of Eurasia International Festival of Arts held as part of the 10th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Ufa.
The large-scale event crowned the second day of the forum. “Our emotions are overwhelming. We listened to these songs, this anthem of our Union State, the anthem of our forum. Together with Valentina Ivanovna [Matviyenko], we agreed that it was wonderful. That was such a unity of souls, such a unity of our peoples! We can hardy say anything; our emotions are overwhelming us!” Ms. Kochanova said.
“Can anyone win a country like Russia, a country like Belarus? It is impossible! The strength of our countries is in this [festival],” Ms. Matviyenko added.
The 10th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia is being held in Ufa on June 26th-28th – organised by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, the Federation Council of Russia, and the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The forum represents 57 regions of Russia and all regions of Belarus. More than 100 documents on co-operation are expected to be signed.
