President’s Special Fund to earmark over Br240,000 to support talented youth
Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed an executive order approving the decision of the Council of the Special Fund of the President of Belarus for the Support of Talented Youth, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
More than Br240,000 will be allocated for these purposes from the national budget at the expense of the reserve fund.
Thirteen winners of international artistic and creative competitions, including two groups – the Suzorie folk dance ensemble of the Soligorsk Palace of Culture and the duo of the Belarusian State Choreographic Gymnasium-College – have received grand prizes with the title of special fund’s laureate.
Special prizes have been awarded to the winners of international and national creative competitions: 26 representatives of talented youth and 12 creative teams, including the Dzvinskiya Peralivy folk song ensemble of the Novopolotsk State Music College, the Karagod vocal ensemble of the Tikotsky children’s art school No. 1 in Bobruisk, the Milavitsa exemplary dance ensemble of the Uvarovichi centre for children’s creativity (Buda-Koshelevo District), the Jive Accord exemplary instrumental ensemble of the Zhodino children’s art school and others.
For Nurturing the Talented Youth prizes have been bestowed upon 13 teachers.
These decisions aim to identify and support gifted and talented youth, create favourable conditions for their successful studies, further develop their abilities and stimulate the professional activities of teachers.
