Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus

The Ministry of Culture and the National Film Studio "Belarusfilm" have announced a script competition for the production of a feature film to mark the 110th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

Applications for the competition are accepted from July 1 to August 14, 2026. The results of the competition will be announced by September 1, 2026.

Priority themes for scriptwriting are those related to the activities of the modern Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus:

• continuity of generations in the defense of the Fatherland in different historical periods (the Great Patriotic War, fulfillment of international duty in Afghanistan, service in the modern Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus);
• the work of crews performing air defense combat duty missions against targets that have violated the State Border in the airspace of the Republic of Belarus;
• the deployment of the Belarusian army group on the western frontiers to prevent potential aggression by NATO countries in 2020;
• the execution of tasks by units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus to reinforce the protection of sections of the State Border;
• the emergence of modern weapon systems in Belarus;
• the activities of military personnel of the 52nd separate specialized search battalion.
